Steps to Building A Custom Home on Your Own Land


 You've found the perfect homesite...now it's time to build the perfect home!

Do you own or plan to purchase land in South Central Pennsylvania? Not only does Landmark Homes offer the option to build a new home in one of our many communities, but we can also work with you to build a custom home on land that you own . Our staff of experienced in-house designers will help you bring the home you envision to reality, ensuring that your home meets your needs now and for many years to come!
Steps to Building on Your Lot
Landmark builds in Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.


We will guide you through all steps in the home building process, from development of the initial plans, to design gallery selections, pre-construction meetings, and even recommendations for financial resources.

STEP 1: SELECT


Our staff of in-house designers will work with you to create a custom home you envision. Bring your own plans, choose from one of our home plans , or let us help you create your own custom plan!


Once you've found a location and design you love, our Private Lot Sales Manager will help you finalize all your structural options and enter into an agreement of sale to get the design process started.

STEP 2: PERSONALIZE

Now that you've finalized the structural options for your home design, you're ready to visit our Design Gallery , where you can meet with a design expert to select from thousands of personalization finishes for your new home, such as flooring, ceiling treatments, trim, paint, and more!

STEP 3: FINALIZE



Now that you have selected your finishing touches, your Private Lot Sales Manager will guide you through a plan review meeting to approve your selections with you, and make sure all the details fall in line to proceed to construction!


Then, at the Pre-Construction Meeting, you and your Private Lot Sales Manager will be able to meet with your Project Manager who will see the home construction process from start to finish.

STEP 4: BUILD


Construction begins! Both your Private Lot Sales Manager and Project Manager will keep you updated with milestone events occurring at your home site (foundation installation, framing, drywall, etc.). We encourage communication throughout the construction process.


When your new home is complete, you can take a tour with your Project Manager to discover the functionality, system operations, and quality workmanship built in every Landmark home.

STEP 5: MOVE-IN



The big day is here -- time to receive those keys! Attend settlement and MOVE IN!
