2025 Design Trend Predictions

Discover 2025’s top design trends blending timeless charm with modern flair! From retro revivals to bold colors and luxurious accents, these ideas are sure to inspire a fresh take on your interiors in 2025.

Warm Wood Tones in flooring, furniture, or cabinetry, paired with earthy neutrals like terra cotta, ochre, and sage, create an organic feel in a home. Features like wood beams, range hoods with wood accents, and trim work, such as paneling or built-in cabinetry, add texture and depth. For additional dimension, consider using wallpaper as an accent wall or in spaces like bathrooms or entryways.

Retro Styles are making a strong comeback in 2025 but with a modern twist. Repurposing vintage furniture - giving them new life with a new coat of colorful paint and new hardware is all the rage. Often pairing these pieces with contemporary elements such as a modern coffee table or piece of art to achieve a balanced look.

Black is making a comeback both in 2024 as well as this next year. In wall color as well as accents various shades of black can really make a statement as well as make other colors pop.

Mixing Styles & Patterns is big in 2025. While not everyone is comfortable with the maximalist style, adding in a few patterns in the mix can make for a fun playful space.

Color Drenching rooms is a big design feature this next year. We are seeing the days of all gray and white go by the wayside as our spaces are being infused by color. Wall trim, and even ceiling are being drenched in bold and moody colors. Rich jewel tones like emerald green, chocolate brown, sapphire blue, and amethyst purple are infusing rooms with a sense of luxury and opulence. Velvets and soft rich fabrics add to this aesthetic.

Brass Accents, both brushed and shiny, have made a real comeback on the design scene this last year and will continue in 2024. In light fixtures, cabinet hardware, and accessories, it continues to bring a touch of warmth and luxury to the home.

All in all,    the trends for the coming year are in many ways nods to the past. Terms like “cozy”, “comfortable” and “eclectic” are used to describe spaces that are becoming smaller and more intimate, creating those “timeless” areas in our homes.
