What to Expect Before, During, and After Your New Home Build

New to the home building process? We will be your guide! The process of building a new home can be a roller coaster of emotions. From choosing a location to choosing the color of your new front door, and everything in between, it may seem a bit daunting. We wanted to provide a little insight on what to expect before, during, and after your new home build.

Before Your Build

When you first decide to build your new home with Landmark, we will work with you to select the right home design to bring your new home vision to reality. Your Community Sales Manager will go over home plan options and assist you with reserving the home site of your choosing.

Once you’ve found a location and a home plan you love, your Community Sales Manager will help you finalize all of your structural options and enter into an agreement of sale in order to kick off the design process.

With the agreement of sale completed and you’ve finalized the structural options of your home design, you’ll visit our Design Gallery! At your Design Gallery appointment, you work with one of our design experts to choose from thousands of personalized finishes for your new home such as flooring, ceiling treatments, trim, paint, and so much more.

Once you’ve made your selections, your design gallery consultant will guide you through a plan review meeting to approve your selections with you, and to make sure all the details fall in line to proceed to construction. Then, at the pre-construction meeting, you and your Community Sales Manager will meet with your Project Manager who will see the home construction process through from start to finish!

During Your Build

Now that construction has begun, both your community sales manager and your project manager will keep you updated with milestone events occurring at your home site such as foundation installation, framing, drywall, and many other steps along the way.

Throughout the building process, feel free to coordinate visits to your home site with your community sales manager. Keep in mind, your new home will be an active construction site. For your safety, all visitors must be accompanied by a Landmark Homes’ representative and must wear a hardhat at all times while on site.

Once your new home is complete, you will take the grand tour with your project manager to discover the functionality, systems operations, and quality workmanship built into every landmark home.

After your build

Now that you’ve completed the grand tour with your project manager, and your home is officially completed, it’s time to receive the keys to your brand-new home! You’ll attend the settlement process, and then you’re all set to move in!

After you’ve settled with your new Landmark home, your home is covered by our home builder warranty program. If questions or concerns arise, you are assured of service after the sale, with the support of a customer service team that is knowledgeable, responsive, and qualified to resolve any issues!
