A Piece of History: Eiffel Tower Staircase Installed
A true piece of history has found a home at Susquehanna Union Green: a section of the original Eiffel Tower staircase has been installed in the community! This incredible artifact comes from the cast-iron spiral staircase that Gustave Eiffel climbed himself during the tower’s grand opening in 1889 . When the staircase was removed in 1983, it was divided into 24 pieces and distributed to museums and collectors around the world. Now, one of those rare segments is right here in Harrisburg, adding a touch of Parisian history to the community.
