Big Things are Happening at Susquehanna Union Green

Now Open to the Public

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 6th, Vartan Group, Inc. announced the official public opening of Susquehanna Union Green’s first phase. On December 3rd, both Panera Bread and Wendy’s, located at the forefront of Susquehanna Union Green, began serving their first customers. Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty opened its new Harrisburg office earlier this year.

Other businesses coming to Susquehanna Union Green include Zeroday Brewing Company, which is partnering with Shakedown BBQ, and the Potato Coop restaurant. 

Central Green Awarded Funds

Vartan Group, Inc. was recently awarded $2.5 million via Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) toward dedicated community space at Susquehanna Union Green.

These funds will allow for the highest and best use of the open spaces planned for the community. Comprised of over 19 acres, the open spaces establish Susquehanna Union Green as a true town center for Susquehanna Township. Through the Commonwealth’s investment, residents and visitors of Susquehanna Township and Dauphin County will have a new space to gather and recreate year-round.

These features will include space for outdoor music and entertainment, grounds for a farmer’s market, a winter village with ice skating rink, greenspaces for community events and fairs, and pedestrian walkways that enhance access to businesses and other natural features.
