Designing and building a new home that reflects your personality and meets your needs is no small task, but our expert team is here to help you move from start to finish with ease. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, a step-by-step process is outlined below.*
Let's get started!

#1 Select
Days 1-15
- Homesite Reservation and Home Plan Selection: Start by reserving a homesite with a refundable deposit, which will hold your homesite for 14 days. Our Community Sales Managers will assist you in reviewing structural designs and desired changes to make your home fit your lifestyle.
- New Home Agreement: Congratulations! This officially begins the creation of your first set of plans and marks an exciting milestone in the process!
#2 Personalize
Days 16-75
- Appliance Selection and Design Gallery Preparation: While our drafting team is working on your plans, you can begin to prepare for your Design Gallery appointment by selecting your appliances and attending an open house at either of our locations in Ephrata and Mechanicsburg. Browsing our photo galleries, using our online visualizers, and driving through our communities to see exterior designs are also great ways to plan and prepare for your Design Gallery appointment.
- Review and Approve Plans: Your Community Sales Manager will review your customized plans created by our drafters. Once you have approved your structural plans, we will contact you to schedule your Design Gallery appointment.
- Make Your Design Selections: Put the finishing touches on your new home! Attend your Design Gallery appointment to make interior and exterior selections.



#3 Finalize
Days 76-115
- Start Order: Congratulations! This is a critical point in the new home building process, your structural and design options have been finalized!
- Lot and Loan Closing & Pre-Construction Meeting: Settlement for your lot and loan will take place during this timeframe. Then, your Community Sales Manager will schedule a meeting with your Project Manager to review crucial milestones to come during your construction timeline!
#4 Build
Days 116-240
- Construction of Your New Home: Exciting times- construction has begun on your new home! Your Community Sales Manager will send you updates during the construction of your new home including major milestones.
- Electrical Walk-Through: Once framing is complete, the electrician will schedule an electrical walk-through to ensure all electrical aspects of your home align with your expectations.
- Final Walk-Through: A final walk-through is scheduled by your Community Sales Manager with your Project Manager just before your home officially completes construction!
#5 Move-In
Days 241-250
- Settlement: You've reached the final stage. It's time to receive those keys and move-in!
