Cornwall, PA: The historic town with charm

Nothing is quite like the Cornwall area! The quaint town with endless charm has so much to offer. Rich in history, the historic Cornwall Borough is recognized as a National Historic Landmark District that adds great character to the town. Cornwall is nestled into the rural mountains in a growing area of Lebanon County. With scenic views and an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities in the area, there is always something to do. Shopping centers and restaurants are nearby as well for convenience.

The Lebanon Valley Rail Trail is a staple to the area. Rails-to-trails has been a favorite outdoor recreation activity in the community for over 25 years. The beautifully maintained trail, made up of crushed stone and asphalt, stretches over 20 miles with 10 convenient trails heads. On the trail, people of all ages enjoy walking, running, biking, and horseback riding. The Root Beer Barrel is a favorite of many trail users. Located at the Cornwall trailhead, the trail-side stand offers delicious drinks and snacks. South Hills Park is a great area for recreation as well. The public park amenities include pavilions, playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, softball and baseball fields, a golf driving range, volleyball courts, and even a disc golf course!

The area is also home to Fairview Golf Course, Cornwall Iron Furnace, Iron Valley Tubing, and the Lebanon Expo Center. The Lebanon Area Fair takes place annually at the expo center. It is home to many other events as well like the Tour de Lebanon Valley, truck and tractor pulls, antique shows, artisan fairs, and more. An added benefit to living in the Cornwall area is its proximity to the Lebanon VA Medical Center as well.

Mount Gretna, a well-known local getaway, is just a short drive from Cornwall. Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful wooded town filled with unique summer cottages, go mini golfing at Mt. Gretna Mini Golf, swim in Lake Conewago, or relax and enjoy your time on the beach. Mount Gretna Lake and Beach offers eight acres of life-guarded beach, a picnic grove, sand volleyball, canoeing, kayaking, diving boards, and a snack bar. The Mount Gretna area is a relaxed family atmosphere perfect for a summer getaway right in the backyard of Cornwall! The area is home to a variety of year round events and attractions including concerts, juried arts and crafts shows, 5ks, live theatre at the Gretna Theatre, and more.
