Brewery Deal Announced as Part of New Mechanicsburg Community

Amidst the exciting beginnings of new home construction in the much-anticipated community of Legacy Park in Mechanicsburg, PA, Wolf Brewing Co has announced it will open a 7,000 square foot brewery and taproom in the commercial section of the neighborhood, called Market Square. Below is an excerpt of the press release, as published on Central Penn Business Journal:

"Wolf Brewing has been active in homebrew and commercial competitions since its founding in 2011. Mechanicsburg natives Derek and Elaine Wolf said it took a few years to find a brewery location because they wanted to be close to the borough, which is not far from Harrisburg, Carlisle and Hershey. They also wanted a West Shore space with ample parking and room for future expansion.

“We are impressed by the overall vision for the Legacy Park neighborhood and the quality of Landmark’s work,” the Wolfs said in a statement. “Mechanicsburg is our hometown. We love the area and are excited to give back to the local community.”

Wolf has won 118 awards from all 50 states with 54 different beers, according to its website.

Joe Eisenhauer, land acquisition manager for Landmark, said an agreement with Wolf is still being finalized. But he said Wolf is the first tenant to commit to Market Square, which will feature about 47,000 square feet of commercial space along South Market Street."

Plans for the Legacy Park neighborhood include 683 housing units, comprised of 301 single-family homes in Wright's Landing, 216 apartments in Pinnacle Ridge, and 166 townhomes in Madison Court, with opportunity for future expansion. Single-family homes starting around $320,000 and townhomes starting around $250,000 are being built now, and reservations are being accepted.
