Enjoy ‘lock and go’ living at Home Towne Square

With summer almost upon us, it’s the perfect time to plan a daytrip or an extended getaway. It’s also the perfect time to plan a move to Home Towne Square. The 55-plus Ephrata community by Landmark Homes is designed to make it easy for you to “lock and go” whenever you please — in summer or any time of year. Maintenance-free living means you don’t have to worry about mulching or mowing in the spring and summer, or snow removal in winter.

The picturesque community of Arts and Crafts-style homes offers easy access to New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as many amenities right in Lancaster County. But there’s plenty for Home Towne Square residents to enjoy in their own backyards, too. The private community clubhouse, or Towne Hall, offers fitness equipment, a library, kitchen, and plenty of space for all the social activities of the neighborhood, from parties to group meetings. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool and biking/walking trails.

Home Towne Square offers 13 one- and two-story floor plans, ranging in size from about 1,700 square feet to just over 3,200 square feet. All homes feature first-floor owner’s suites. You can custom build your home, or you can take advantage of the quick-delivery homes currently available and start enjoying that low-maintenance living right away.

The first, the Winston, is a new floor plan for Home Towne Square. The one-story home at 432 Constitution Ave. has two bedrooms and two baths. The kitchen features a custom island, granite countertops with tile backsplash, spacious pantry, and stainless steel appliances. It opens to a living room warmed by a cozy gas fireplace with stone surround. The owner’s suite has a tray ceiling, large closet and a private bath with tile shower and ceramic flooring. The Winston also includes a formal dining room with elegant, Craftsman-style wainscoting, a private study with coffered ceiling and hardwood flooring throughout the main living areas. The two-car garage has a mudroom entry with convenient lockers. At 1,978 square feet, the Winston is priced at $367,800.

A second home, the 1.5-story James at 309 Liberty St., is currently under construction. The kitchen includes a raised breakfast bar, granite countertops with tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances. It shares an open floor plan with the dining area and living room, which includes a cozy gas fireplace with stone surround. A sliding glass door in the dining area offers access to a covered patio. The first-floor owner’s suite has an elegant tray ceiling, oversized closet, and a private bathroom with double bowl vanity and 5-foot tile shower. The main floor also includes a flex room with coffered ceiling and a second bedroom and full bath. The James also has a finished bonus room on the second level and a two-car rear-entry garage. At 2,144 square feet, the James is priced at $366,900.
