You’ve found the perfect homesite, now build the perfect home!
This is a subtitle for your new post
If you are considering building a new home on land you own, or land you plan to buy, you may be trying to determine where to start, or how to find the right builder to help you through the process while capturing your unique vision for your home. Landmark Homes’ team of in-house designers and private lot sales team is able to provide the expert guidance on planning and building your dream home you need to move forward with confidence.
How much does a new home cost?
When starting to plan for your new home, the first big question that typically arises is “how much does it cost to build a home?” The answer greatly depends on the costs required to make your land buildable, along with the size of the home and unique features and customizations planned in. We understand that an unclear idea of cost can be intimidating, which is why we recognize the importance of providing you with the resources you need to be better prepared and informed before beginning the building process. You may request standard pricing from our private lot sales manager for many of our home plans, to give you a better idea of a starting point for your desired home type. You can choose from and customize one of our 50+ home plans, we can build a custom home, or even build a home from plans you provide.
Just a few of the features we include in our homes at no additional cost are:
- GE brand stainless kitchen appliances (oven/range, dishwasher)
- Mi brand insulated vinyl windows
- ThermaTru brand exterior doors
- Delta brand plumbing fixtures
- Benjamin Moore paint
- Wellborn oak cabinets
- Superior basement walls in unfinished basement for 2-story homes
- 10’x12’ concrete patio
I found land. Where do I start?
To have a more comprehensive understanding of costs, and for our private lot sales manager to be able to provide you with the most accurate information for your particular homesite and home design, you will first need to work with an engineer to assess site preparation requirements. We can guide you to the proper resources and contacts to do so if you do not already have an engineer. Having been through the process of building in a variety of townships and homesite locations, we can help you know what questions to ask, and to get you pointed in the right direction.
After you have worked with the appropriate parties to assess your sitework needs (stormwater management, house placement, formal site plan, septic if necessary), our private lot sales manager will be able to use this information to help you plan accordingly. We will guide you through all the steps in the home building process, such as:
- Development of the initial plans
- Design gallery selections
- Pre-construction meetings
- Recommendations for financial resources
